The kid's gonna be alright!

On the way back from this morning's transport, of course, I stopped to check in on LBT and his friends.
And I met ANOTHER care-giver for this colony! I pulled around the building and lo and behold, a car was idling at the curb. A different car than I saw last time. I parked, wrote a note for the gentleman I met previously, and grabbed my food bag.

A woman got out of the car as I was placing my note. She had just dispensed some kibble and some of her leftover cooked fish dinner from last night. What a treat! We chatted. I introduced myself and shared my saga. I showed her my photos. She said she can't tell all the brown tabbies apart! 😄 She told me that she comes out to feed these kiddos every other day, and another woman she knows comes every day as well. Whoa. Ok. So, no need to worry about these cats starving! I ended up not leaving any of my food. There was an abundance available! These care-givers should get together and coordinate their feedings! 😄😄😄

She didn't know that most of the group had been fixed by the HART. I was glad I could share that information with her. I also assured her that I did NOT dump LBT! (Relief!) She asked if I wanted to try and catch him. I said my goal is to just ensure he's fixed. I can see he's well cared for here. She also expressed concern about the safety of the cats since they aren't exactly welcome there. I let her know that I offered my services in case the cats ever find themselves in need of a change of venue.

It seems I've got myself a little "pet" project now. Har-har.
