Community Cats

Are you a clinic or community organization that manages a Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program? Use the Anchors Aweigh Sterile Feral Limo! We will transport already trapped cat(s) from their neighborhood(s) to the clinic(s) where they will undergo their sterilization surgery. If necessary, the Sterile Feral Limo driver will complete clinic intake paperwork ON BEHALF OF the colony care-giver and/or organizational representative. We will also collect cat(s) after surgery and return them to their neighborhood(s) or a pre-determined release site since occasionally, community cats cannot be returned to the area in which they used to be living. If this is the case, and the new location fits our criteria for long-distance transport, then there is some financial reimbursement requested as outlined under FOR SHELTERS AND RESCUES.

Need help with the actual trapping part? We may be able to help there too! Throw us your message in a bottle to inquire.

✯NEW FOR 2025✯

Anchors Aweigh Animal Transport is proud to roll out this new program that will provide food to community cat care givers to help them feed the colonies they manage. Colony cat care-givers often spend their own hard-earned money to feed and care for free roaming cats in their neighborhoods or places of business. Ensuring that EVERY colony cat is spayed or neutered is THE FIRST STEP to managing any outdoor cat colony. Then, once cats are returned to their colonies, providing regular, species-appropriate meals helps to anchor the cats to one location, meaning they don't tend to wander as widely and are less likely to become a nuisance!
Anchors Aweigh Animal Transport is thrilled to start this program to support community cat care-givers and their outdoor feline friendsThis program will be 100% donation supported, so the number of care-givers that enroll will be dictated by donations received. Our goal is to be able to support at least 1 new care giver every month. In the interest of supporting as many as we are able, the Community Cat Kitchen will endeavor to cover 1-2 weeks worth of food out of each month for every enrolled care giver. This program is only intended to "bridge a gap". It will not be able to provide all the food each colony needs.
If you are a community cat care giver that is managing one to several outdoor/free roaming cat colonies, and you are interested in getting on the waiting list for the next enrollment period (starting March 1, 2025), please complete this form (<Google doc form)!
If you are a compassionate and generous person who would like to see our Community Cat Kitchen grow, please donate to support our efforts! Monetary donations can be made in PayPal, just choose "Community Cat Kitchen" from the drop-down menu to ensure your gift is funneled properly. You also have the option to purchase food off the Community Cat Kitchen wishlists on Amazon and/or >Chewy(link)<.! Thank you for helping to make this new program a success!
